Central Christian Church is Hiring a Front Desk Receptionist with Ministry Support Near Wichita, KS

Position: FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST WITH MINISTRY SUPPORT

REPORTS TO: Lead Administrative Assistant

Non-EXEMPT FTE 1.0

Position Summary: With Administrative direction, Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for greeting visitors, answering phones and handling church inquires. In addition, this position will support Women’s Ministry, Children’s Ministry and other ministries with administrative tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities and Essential Tasks:

Front Desk

· Greet visitors with a warm welcome and servant’s heart

· Answer phones, route calls and operate multi phone line system

· Ensure reception area is presentable to visitors and staff

· Perform basic clerical duties such as daily reporting, relaying messages to appropriate staff, typing, filing, mail and copy machines and have a strong knowledge base of Microsoft Office

· Coordinate monthly staff birthday and anniversary celebration

· Ensure supply room and mail rooms are kept orderly are stocked with needed supplies

· Process incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries as directed

· Assist individuals with benevolence needs by providing food, directing to other agencies, or connecting them with pastor on site

Administrative Support

· Provide general administrative support to Women’s Ministry, Children’s Ministry and other ministries as assigned which includes assistance with set up for special events, distribution of supplies for Bible studies, reserve rooms as needed, send communications and any other support requested.

Spiritual:

Has accepted Christ as his/her Savior and will accept the Central Christian Church 8-point statement of faith

Education/Certification:

Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience

Required Knowledge:

Proficient in Office 365

Experience Required:

Administrative support and front desk receptionist experience

Skills/Abilities:

Must have strong interpersonal skills, personal integrity, and demonstrate good moral character. Showing initiative, be proactive, able to work with a team or independently. Ability to communicate effectively (speaking/writing reports). Must be organized, possess an attention to detail, and show commitment to and a passion for serving Christ in mission-driven work.

Working Conditions:

Primarily office environment with the ability to engage in the community as required

Physical Requirements:

The ability to stand, walk, sit, kneel, bend, reach, grip, climb, push, pull, or carry for a duration of time. Ability to lift 25 pounds. The ability to use fine motor skills including tactile while performing a task.
