CENTRAL CONNECTICUT COAST YOUNG MENS CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION INC is Hiring a Senior Director of Permanent Supportive Housing Near Bridgeport, CT

The Alpha Community Services Y provides Individual and Family Navigation; Emergency Shelter focused on families; Permanent Supportive Housing; and, also has been instrumental in creating and sustaining the Bridgeport Housing First Collaborative. The Senior Program Director oversees all case management for the Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) program for either individual clients or families. As part of senior management within the Alpha Community Services Y, this position will also assist in the development and implementation of new and existing programming, supportive housing, and enrichment services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Develop, maintain, and facilitate positive relationships with partner agencies; volunteers; program participants; staff; and, colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  2. Develop and monitor program initiatives as outlined by funding sources. Ensure programs include training; referrals; and, educational, nutritional, recreational, and wellness supports addressing the needs of individuals, children, and families housed.
  3. Recruit, train, and supervise
  4. Lead and coach team with the goal of preparing clients for greater financial and housing stability.
  5. Effectively work with Property Management to ensure PSH units are leased up in a timely manner and health and safety standards are met.
  6. Monitor, review, and ensure timely and accurate documentation in Smartsheets, HMIS, and other database systems as required by federal, state, and local funding sources.
  7. Prepare required reports and presentations as directed including any required reporting to governmental and private funders. Write and/or assist in writing of grant proposals and provide any documentation requested to support grant funding and contractual relationships.
  8. Pursue personal professional development by attending continuing education conferences in this field.
  9. Ensure the safety, risk management, and maintenance of facilities, grounds, and equipment.
  10. Develop and implement fundraising activities for programs and actively support the branch annual campaign activities.
  11. Know, follow, and enforce all CCCY policies and procedures, including those for emergency and safety.
