Position: Pharmacy Clerk

Position Overview: The Pharmacy Clerk is a vital part of our team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service to pharmacy customers. This role involves greeting customers, addressing their needs, accurately handling cash and charge transactions using computer terminals, and ensuring the timely mailing of prescriptions. The Pharmacy Clerk also assists with front-end ordering and collaborates with all department team members. Additionally, this position is accountable for accurate prescription processing, maintaining prescription drug inventory, and resolving insurance-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service:
• Greet and assist pharmacy customers.
• Address customer needs and inquiries promptly.
• Ensure customers can approach you easily.
• Prescription Handling:
• Set up and maintain patient records.
• Label and process prescriptions accurately.
• Handle insurance claims and resolve related issues.
• Increase knowledge base for all medications dispensed by Central Drugs.
• Transactions:
• Handle cash and charge transactions accurately using computer terminals.
• Inventory Management:
• Order and manage medication supplies.
• Assist in front-end ordering and maintain inventory levels.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Detail-oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Great organizational skills.
• High initiative and always proactive.
• Highly motivated to achieve results.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
