Job Opening Summary
The certified respiratory therapist acts under the direction of the director/manager, utilizing respiratory therapy processes based on American Association of Respiratory Care Guidelines, Statement of Ethics and Professional Conduct: facilitating patient care with the health care team; making respiratory assessments; and implementing, delivering and evaluating the patient's respiratory therapy needs.
Job Opening Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma/GED with some college, business or technical training
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Florida certified respiratory therapist
- BLS
- PALS
- NRP
- ACLS
Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required:
- Must be able to read, write in, speak and understand English.
- As applicable, respiratory staff assigned to maternal-child services will be required to have NRP and PALS certifications. If employee does not have PALS or NRP by hire date, they must obtain within 90 days.
