Central Oregon Pediatric Associates (COPA) of Bend, Oregon, Central Oregon’s largest independent pediatric practice, has immediate openings for full time Pediatric Certified Medical Assistant - CMA. Schedule: Monday-Friday (8:30am-5pm) and some weekends and evenings.
The Pediatric Certified Medical Assistant works closely with, and under the direct supervision of the physician they are working with. The CMA is responsible for daily patient flow, anticipating the physician’s needs as they relate to the patients care and safely and accurately administering the appropriate treatments as the physician orders them.

The role of the Pediatric Certified Medical Assistant will include but is not limited to the following duties:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with pediatric experience preferred. New CMA Program graduates encouraged to apply. Experience with working with electronic medical records systems, Epic preferred. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
Certification: Current Certification from a nationally recognized organization such as the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), current CPR.
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, walk, stand, and to reach with hands and arms. The employee occasionally lifts and or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Good auditory health is a must. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Working Conditions: The employee is subject to hazards: including a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to mechanical parts and chemicals including odors. The employee has been identified as having the likelihood of occupational exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials, therefore are included in the OSHA Exposure Control Plan with its specification for preventing contact with the above materials. Travel between COPA clinics and business office as required.
