POSITION SUMMARY: Serves as the initial contact for incoming calls to the PFS Department, and personally responds to patient requests and questions. Performs data entry and clerical duties for multiple billing groups to support the PFS department and billing staff. Provides backup to the billing assistant 1 position as needed.

REQUIREMENTS: 

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree(GED).
• 1 year of general office experience.
• 10-Key proficiency
• Excellent and persuasive communication skills.
• Ability to understand and extrapolate needed data and perform basic mathematical equations.
• Moderate computer software skills – Microsoft Office, email and electronic calendar (Outlook).
• Attention to detail.
• Accuracy in Data Entry.
• Excellent customer service skills.

PREFERRED:

• 2 years of medical office experience.
• Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS) from the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM).
• Strong knowledge of 3rd party insurance practices.
