POSITION SUMMARY: The Sonographer performs diagnostic examinations on patients as ordered by the provider and directed by the radiologist. To obtain examinations of the highest quality, this staff member routinely utilizes a high level of clinical expertise and problem solving in their modality. Determines appropriate positioning and scan parameters for each study and reviews images for clarity, documentation of appropriate anatomy and accuracy to assure the radiologist is able to clearly visualize the area of concern. Documents examination findings on appropriate sonographer worksheet. The Sonographer maintains a positive customer service attitude when performing all duties. Conducts self in a professional and courteous manner during all customer interactions. Accepts personal responsibility for professional practice by adhering to standards of the profession. Carries out all responsibilities in line with the organization's mission, vision and values.
