New Albany OH- Local to the area only to apply

HYBRID ROLE

Must be local to work 3 days a week onsite

M - F OT possible as needed. Travel - 5% for possible site visits for training

Current in office days are Tues, Weds and Thurs. and are subject to change.

Schedule during the first 30 -90 days will be 5 eight hour days. A flexible schedule is available after training to include 4 tens or 4 nines plus a four. Candidate must be available to work core hours of 9am - 5pm.

Contract 12 months

Bachelors Degree OR Associates Degree Required

Coordinator for Compliance Activities- Utility Company highly preferred. Construction/Equipment/Operations a plus. Transmission group experience a plus in the utility world.

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Compliance Specialist to join our Transmission Line Engineering team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our company adheres to all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices. You will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including:

• Maintaining accurate records: You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and organized records of all compliance activities. This will involve using Microsoft Excel to record data and generate reports.

• Monitoring and analyzing compliance data: You will be responsible for staying up-to-date on compliance related standard practices and ensuring our company adheres to them. This will involve reviewing current internal procedures, identifying potential risks, and improving AEP standard practices.

• Generating reports: You will be required to develop detailed reports and presentations that communicate compliance information to stakeholders at all levels. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

• Collaboration: You will work closely with other departments such as Transmission Planning, Engineering, and Legal to ensure our business practices are compliant.

Key Job Duties:

• Facility and Regulatory Reporting: Aid in completing various required quarterly and annual regulatory reporting for AEP internal and AEP external use; including FERC Form-1, SEC10k, and state long-term forecast reports on Transmission Line assets. This involves researching, working with internal stakeholders to address errors, tracking progress, and helping to improve the process.

• Facility Rating Methodology: Tracking and reporting Transmission Line Engineering (TLE) rating information, as well as working with other internal AEP business units to ensure TLE meets deadlines.

• Project Closeout Compliance: Track status of capital project work from in-service dates through all closeout activities required, including deliverables from our contractors, engineering consultants, surveyors and vendors. Also verifying all records are updated, including regulatory reporting and facility rating information.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, business administration, Business Analytics, data/computer science) preferred.

• Preferred experience in a compliance role within the utility industry.

• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.

Qualifications:

Coordinator Associate:

Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited university or college or an Associate's technical degree with 2 years of experience in design, operations, planning, construction, or maintenance of systems and/or equipment.

Coordinator:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited university or college with one year of experience or an Associate's technical degree and 3 years of experience in design, operations, planning, construction, or maintenance of systems and/or equipment.

Work Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in work activities and projects requiring technical knowledge.

Coordinator Sr -

Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited university or college with 4 years of experience or an associate's technical degree and 6 years of experience in design, operations, planning, construction or maintenance of systems and/or equipment.

Work Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 6 years of experience in work activities and projects requiring technical knowledge.
