Qualifications:
At least 6 months of specialty experience within last 3 years
Experience in a healthcare setting, such as a nursing home, hospital, or assisted living facility.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
BLS Certification from AHA
Associate's degree
Job Responsibilities:
Conducting thorough assessments of veterans' health conditions, including physical, mental, and emotional aspects.
Developing individualized care plans based on assessment findings, veterans' needs, and VA guidelines.
Administering medications as prescribed by healthcare providers.
Educating veterans about their medications and ensuring compliance.
Providing health education to veterans and their families on disease prevention, management of chronic conditions, and lifestyle modifications.
Assisting physicians and other healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
Advocating for veterans' rights and ensuring they receive timely and appropriate healthcare services.
Addressing veterans' concerns and communicating their needs to the healthcare team.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHRs) of veterans' medical histories, assessments, treatments, and progress.
