Qualifications:

• At least 6 months of specialty experience within last 3 years
• Experience in a healthcare setting, such as a nursing home, hospital, or assisted living facility.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• BLS Certification from AHA
• Associate's degree

Job Responsibilities:

• Conducting thorough assessments of veterans' health conditions, including physical, mental, and emotional aspects.
• Developing individualized care plans based on assessment findings, veterans' needs, and VA guidelines.
• Administering medications as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Educating veterans about their medications and ensuring compliance.
• Providing health education to veterans and their families on disease prevention, management of chronic conditions, and lifestyle modifications.
• Assisting physicians and other healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
• Advocating for veterans' rights and ensuring they receive timely and appropriate healthcare services.
• Addressing veterans' concerns and communicating their needs to the healthcare team.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHRs) of veterans' medical histories, assessments, treatments, and progress.
