Position Description:

Years of exp Required: 6-8 Years

4 Years in Snowflake and minimum of 8 years of overall IT experience

Technical / Functional Skills:

• Strong demonstrated experience in Snowflake Data warehousing
• Demonstrated experience as a RBDMS DBA with minimum of 8 years of experience
• Strong scripting experience using Python and or shell and demonstrate earlier experience of automating Database housekeeping activities
• Very good oral and written communication skills

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Administer, maintain, and support the Snowflake data warehouse environment, including data storage, and computing resources to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Ensure the performance, security, and reliability of the database.
• Automate Snowflake house keeping activities and regular DBA activities using Python scripting
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues.
• Contribute to RBAC and row level security best practices.
• Implement and manage secure access controls, roles, and permissions to safeguard sensitive data and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and optimize query performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks in the data loading processes and SQL queries.
• Analyze execution plans and provide feedback to development teams.
• Coordinate with Snowflake support for issue resolution, upgrades, and new feature implementations.
• Manage data retention policies and perform data lifecycle management to optimize storage costs and compliance.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in cloud data warehousing technologies, applying new features and improvements to the Snowflake environment
