We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately processing medical claims and ensuring timely reimbursement. Responsibilities

- Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance companies, following all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Review and verify patient information, including medical records and demographic data.
- Accurately assign medical codes, using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems, and ensure that all coding is compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Analyze and resolve billing discrepancies, working closely with the medical staff to resolve any issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical billing procedures and stay current with changes to insurance policies and billing regulations.
- Utilize medical office systems to manage patient records and track billing progress.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and insurance companies.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new billing procedures and policies.

Skills

- Strong understanding of medical billing procedures and regulations.
- Proficiency in medical coding, including ICD-9 and ICD-10.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Familiarity with DRG (Diagnosis-Related Groups) coding.
- Experience with medical office systems, including electronic health records (EHRs) and billing software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.57 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
