- Outpatient Experience is preferred.
- Will accept New Grads? NO
- Will accept First Time Travelers? Yes
- Float to other clinics: NO
- 36 hours guaranteed with the expectation of working up to 40 hours.
- OT must be approved by director before any OT hours are worked.
- Productivity expectation is 60 visits/ week; Will see 12-14 patients/day; Double-booking of follow up visits expected.
- Overview: A Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) supports licensed Physical Therapists in providing treatment to patients with physical impairments. PTAs help improve patients' mobility, relieve pain, and enhance physical function through prescribed exercises and treatments.
- Implement treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists.
- Assist patients with exercises and therapeutic activities.
- Administer modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
- Monitor and document patient progress.
- Educate patients and families on home exercises.
- Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
- State licensure or certification as a PTA.
- Strong communication skills and physical stamina.
- Hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, schools, and private practices.
- Physical activity including standing, lifting, and assisting patients.
