Responsibilities
- Assess patients' health status and collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and response to treatment, intervening as necessary to address any changes.
- Provide wound care, post-operative care, and other specialized nursing procedures as required.
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, medication management, and recovery process.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records, documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and facilitate discharge planning.
- Adhere to established protocols, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Working Conditions:
- Work environment primarily within a hospital or surgical unit.
- Exposure to infectious agents and hazardous materials, requiring adherence to infection control protocols and safety precautions.
- Interaction with patients with varying medical conditions and needs, necessitating empathy, patience, and effective communication skills.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects and assist with patient mobility.
- Stamina to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity for administering medications and performing nursing procedures accurately.
- Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with current RN license.
