Contract Length:13 weeks-Accepting both local and travel Candidates

Pay Rate: Local-$2100 to Travel-$2340

Unit: Med Surg, Tele

Shift: 12 Hours; Nights, 7p-7.30a

Schedule: 36 hours / week guaranteed, 3 shifts per week, every other weekend, holiday rotation as required

Position Requirements:

• Registered Nurse: 2 years - Required
• Med Surg/Tele or Cardiac/Tele Nursing experience: Recent/Current 2 years – Required
• Epic experience – Preferred
• Prior Travel Nursing experience – Highly preferred

Education, License and Certification Requirements:

• ASN or an equivalent – Required
• BSN or an equivalent – Highly preferred
• RN License for State of IA or Compact - Required
• BLS and ACLS Certifications from AHA - Required
• NIHSS Certification - Required (Can be obtained upon offer)

Job Description:

• Provide all aspects of Nursing care for patients in the assigned units (MS, Tele)
• Provides safe, quality care for patients/residents according to individualized care plan that supports patient/resident outcomes.
• Regularly assesses patient's/client's needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician authorized plan of care, and accepted standards of nursing practice.
• Provides direct resident care, including medication administration, treatments, call lights, assisting with transfers, responding to alarms, etc.
• Evaluates effectiveness of treatment plan and makes suggestions or participates in updating/revising the treatment plan in collaboration with other team members, utilizing current information to improve patient care.
• Processes physician/provider orders and performs physician ordered care accurately, completely and in a timely manner.
• Follows up regarding medication changes and order clarifications.
