Job Description
- Perform the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.
- Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
- Assesses building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules.
- Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Perform work order repairs as assigned. Such may include repairing broken locks, cabinetry repairs, sheetrock repair, plumbing repairs, etc.
- Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues.
- Install appliances and equipment.
- Conduct unit inspections.
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation).
- Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarms, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers).
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or other similar position (Required)
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
- HVAC certification highly (Preferred)
- Experience using hand and electrical tools
- Ability to read basic technical manuals
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical stamina and dexterity
- Plumbing experience
