Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Missouri Department of Corrections.
We are currently seeking a full-time Level 1 Medication Aide to join our team at Potosi Correctional Center located in Mineral Point, Missouri.
The Level 1 Medication Aide Under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing / nursing designee, administers medications as prescribed; and documents the medication effectiveness and any noted adverse actions or side effects.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must have current active Level 1 Medical Aide (L1MA) certification from the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) or the Department of Mental Health (DMH) which may also be referred to as DD Medication Aide (mo.tmutest.com).
- Insulin certification required.
- Must complete required continuing education to maintain certification (minimum of four (4) hours of medication administration training every two (2) years). Required training will be documented and maintained in Employee File.
- One year experience in acute care, emergency or correctional setting preferred.
- Must maintain active CPR and Basic Life Support certification.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
