Job Description:

Centurion Selection are currently working with a developer builder in their search for a superintendent, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the on-site construction activities from inception to completion. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards and safety regulations. You will collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives while maintaining a high level of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

• Develop detailed construction schedules, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budgetary constraints.
• Coordinate with project managers to procure necessary resources, materials, and equipment for construction activities.
• Oversee the day-to-day on-site construction operations, including scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and quality control.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

• Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address any quality or safety issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety guidelines.

Team Leadership and Management:

• Supervise and provide direction to on-site construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
• Resolve conflicts or disputes that may arise during the construction process in a timely and professional manner.

Safety Management:

• Champion a culture of safety on-site, promoting awareness and adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections, identifying and mitigating potential hazards or risks.
• Ensure that all workers and subcontractors comply with safety regulations and guidelines at all times.

Progress Reporting and Communication:

• Provide regular progress updates to project managers and other stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and potential risks.
• Maintain accurate documentation of construction activities, including daily reports, work orders, and change orders.
• Act as a primary point of contact for on-site inquiries, addressing concerns and providing timely responses to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a superintendent or similar role in multifamily or residential construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam).
• OSHA certification or equivalent safety training is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
