Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated HR intern for our office located in Houston, TX. The HR intern will be responsible for supporting the HR department with administrative and other HR related tasks. You should be able to work independently and have excellent interpersonal skills as you will be communicating with candidates, management, employees and vendors. In this internship, you will be exposed to HR tasks such as updating employee records, screening resumes, and scheduling in and participating in interviews, employee onboarding and offboarding tasks.
This will be a paid position, on-site, and will work part-time, 20-25 hours per week with a flexible schedule. The internship will run through the end of the year.
The HR Intern will be expected to:
  • Utilize the HRIS, Paycom, to update employee records
  • Screen resume and applications to fill job vacancies
  • Schedule interviews with candidates
  • Assist with organizing company events
  • Send job offers and rejection letters to candidates
  • Respond to employee requests
Qualifications
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in HRM or studying toward a degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Minimum one-year experience of working in an office environment.
  • Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Must have the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
