Century Care Management is Hiring a Receptionist/Supply Clerk Near Fayetteville, NC

Whispering Pines, part of the Century Care family, is currently hiring! Our facility provides residents with a full range of long-term care and rehabilitation services, along with a variety of engaging social and recreational activities. We currently have an opportunity for a Receptionist/Supply Clerk to be a part of our team in our Fayetteville facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.Must have a pleasant telephone voice.

2.Must be able to work well with others and independently without direct supervision.

3.Must possess good typing skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office.

4.Must be able to relate well with the general public.

5.Must follow facility dress code with a professional appearance including a smile and a nametag.

Must be able to read, write and follow written and verbal instructions

1.Answer telephones with the appropriate greeting between the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, excluding 30 minutes for lunch.

2.Take accurate and appropriate messages while attempting to identify the caller to direct the call appropriately.

3.Distribute messages to staff mailboxes or other designated areas as needed.

4.Provide general information regarding the facility and its services to visitors or telephone inquiries, when unable to route the interested party to the Admissions Coordinator or back-up team. No inquiry call shall go unanswered.

5.Provide facility tour to interested parties.

6.Complete “Inquiry Log” accurately and route appropriately.

7.Greet visitors with eye contact and a smile while directing them to the appropriate area.

8.Maintain the entrance area and waiting room assuring it is well lit, clean and odor free.

9.File PHI in the appropriate charts.

10.“Thin” PHI from charts according to schedule.

11.Distribute and collect employee applications.

12.Ensure policy regarding employee phone calls is followed.

13.Perform clerical duties such as typing and filing for Business Office and Department Heads.

14.Follow policy of no eating, drinking or chewing gum while at the receptionist desk.

15.Remain at the receptionist desk unless on a break, at lunch, using the restroom, giving a tour or delivering items. The Nursing staff is to be notified when it is necessary to leave the receptionist desk, to cover calls.

16.Follow HIPPA guidelines in regards to patient right to privacy.

17.Attend mandatory in-services when scheduled.

18.Maintain visitor sign-in board, assuring forms are always available.

19.Secure desk area and other equipment at the receptionist desk before leaving for the day.

21. Order, receive, stock and dispense supplies; maintain a current, accurate inventory; perform necessary basic clerical skills.

22.The person holding this position is delegated responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current existing federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures.

23. Accept any other duties assigned by supervisor

DEMONSTRATES PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

1.Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner and keeps appropriate persons informed of problems..

2.Completes assigned tasks in a manner to enhance patient satisfaction.

3.Demonstrates basic and advanced departmental competencies.

4.Attends required meetings as determined by the Department Director.

5.Demonstrates appropriate use of Standard Precautions and Personal Protective Equipment.

6.Demonstrates adherence to a professional appearance in accordance with the facility dress code.

7.Completes mandatory requirements as below, but not limited to:

a.Mandatory Education: Resident Rights/Abuse; Safety; Disaster Management; Infections Control/Bloodborne Pathogens; Corporate Compliance; Customer Service; HIPAA

b.Obtains annual TB testing according to facility policy/practice.

WORK HOURS:

1.Works scheduled hours in accordance with the definition of status (i.e. Full-Time, Part-Time)

2.May be required to work beyond normally scheduled hours, weekends and holidays when necessary to meet patient care or facility needs.

3.Is subject to call back during emergency condition (e.g. weather, evacuations, post-disaster, etc.)

 I will practice safe work habits to ensure that no injury/illness occurs that will result in lost time away from work.

I will comply with the facility’s policies concerning confidentiality of information and use of computerized information systems and statements made in the Privacy Acknowledgement and Nondisclosure Agreement.
