Century Casinos is Hiring an AGENT - FRONT DESK Near New Cumberland, WV

SUMMARY

Coordinates all hotel reservation activity for the property.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Greets and assists all guests entering or leaving the hotel. Registers and assigns rooms to guests of the hotel in a timely manner.
  2. Verifies customers’ credit, and establishes how the customer will pay for the accommodation.
  3. Keeps records of room availability and guests’ accounts using hotel computer systems.
  4. Computes bills, collects payments, and makes change for guests.
  5. Performs simple bookkeeping activities, such as balancing cash accounts.
  6. Reviews accounts and charges with guests during the checkout process.
  7. Contacts Housekeeping or Maintenance staff when guests report problems.
  8. Reviews information/passes on log from previous shift, checks room rates, and discusses sell strategy with Supervisor.
  9. Follows and completes items on Guest Services AM/PM checklist.
  10. Ensures timely and efficient delivery of guest messages, mail and faxes
  11. Responds to guest inquires and directs guests’ around the hotel/casino. 
  12. Explains proper use of keys system and ensures the guests satisfaction with their room.
  13. Audits current registration cards to computerized information.
  14. Corrects errors and discrepancies on guest accounts and resolves guest complaints.
  15. Ensures organization and cleanliness of all work areas.
  16. Balances cash daily and prepares deposit for general cashier.
  17. Complies with all reasonable requests made by management.
  18. Adheres to all gaming laws and regulations.
  19. Other duties as assigned.

REPORTING LINE

You will report directly to the Guest Services Manager then to the Director of Resort Operations.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times. 
  • Must exhibit a friendly and outgoing disposition at all times.
  • The ability to work in a fast –paced environment and stressful situations.
  • Must be able to operate office equipment and multi-line phones.
  • The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner.
  • You will need to be available to work all shifts. 
  • You must be at least 18 years old. 
  • You also must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain a WV Racing License.

EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

You will need to be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Will be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment and seasonal elements.
