Forest Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is currently looking for Maintenance Assistant and requires the ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills in; maintaining the grounds in a first-class condition; safely and properly maintaining facility and equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures of the facility.

Essential Job Functions for the Maintenance Assistant

• Maintain the general upkeep of all common areas and resident rooms.
• Interior maintenance duties include painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and repair work.
• You'll conduct a daily tour of the facility to check maintenance request books on each nurses' station and in kitchen and perform needed repairs as well as safety surveillance to monitor potentially unsafe work areas, equipment, and practices.
• In addition to interior maintenance, you'll be required to perform exterior seasonal lawn and grounds maintenance.
• Replace burned-out light bulbs and ballasts on a regular basis.
• On-Call and Weekend Rotation
• Carry out scheduled service as directed in the preventative maintenance program.
• Perform safety surveillance to monitor potentially unsafe work areas, equipment, and practices
• Report hazardous equipment and conditions to the supervisor.
• Conduct daily tours of the facility to check maintenance request books on each nurses’ station and in the kitchen, and perform needed repairs.
• Ability to work independently on long-term projects.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident records and respect resident rights when performing maintenance work.
