Maintenance Technician

• 2ND SHIFT (M-F)
• $33-$42/hr depending on experience

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Maintenance Technician to identify and repair malfunctions, and maintain CNC equipment and facilities to ensure maximum asset utilization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Expertly handle OEM machine controllers (FANUC, Siemens, Allen Bradley).
• Perform advanced mechanical repairs and rebuilds on Magerle, Okuma, Makino, and other CNC machines.
• Replace machine linear guides and ball screws efficiently.
• Support scheduling for preventive maintenance (PM) and interpret reports, diagrams, and drawings.
• Utilize tool probing functions for CNC machines.
• Maintain and troubleshoot complex NC machines, including 5-axis and large surface grinders.
• Execute machine leveling and alignment for all CNC equipment.
• Identify and replace necessary parts.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair machine tool equipment and controls.
• Reference machine tool manuals and technical documents for issue resolution.
• Conduct general facilities maintenance.
• Collaborate with external suppliers and maintenance companies for timely repairs.
• Act with urgency in addressing machine downtime and prioritizing tasks.
• Enhance PM instructions and schedules to prevent equipment failures.
• Apply advanced knowledge in hydraulics, electronics, software, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Relevant trade license preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including climbing ladders and operating tools.
• Minimum 8 years of CNC machine maintenance experience required.
• 10 years of experience in a metalworking manufacturing environment preferred.
