Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Policy Writer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in policy writing, with a keen understanding of the regulatory landscape in the home care, home health care, and hospice sectors. While we can provide training on specific industry standards and practices, prior experience in policy writing is essential. Any healthcare, especially home care, policy research and writing experience is a plus but not required. This is a remote/work from home position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and write comprehensive policies and procedures for home care, home health care, and hospice services.
  • Ensure all policies comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Customize policies to meet the specific needs of clients across various states.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates of existing policies to ensure ongoing compliance and relevance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information and insights for policy development.
  • Stay informed about changes in industry regulations and best practices to ensure policies are current and effective.
  • Assist in training and guiding new team members on policy writing standards and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in policy writing, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for home care, home health care, and hospice services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with above-average experience in Microsoft Word and other relevant software tools.
