Job Description
Qualified candidates should have at least 2 years of direct policy writing experience as well as experience with customer service. Position duties will include creating and customizing policy and procedure manuals for clients, processing plans of corrections within the established timeframes, taking inbound phone calls, data entry, follow up for policy orientation with clients, updating the manuals when state regulations change, and other duties as assigned. The Policy Specialist reports immediately to the Director of Policy and Development, who in turn reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
Primary Responsibilities:
2-year college degree, or equivalent experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, G-Suite
Able to write, edit, and proofread.
Skilled in research
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent customer service skills via phone and in person
Able to independently manage time while achieving productivity goals.
Pays close attention to critical details.
Be able to analyze and synthesize government regulations.
Able to rephrase complex regulatory language into understandable and relatable language.
Experience with CRM
Ability to comfortably and productively work as part of a team as well as independently.

- Certified Homecare Consulting is looking for an Experienced Policy Writer for Home Health Care, Home Care, and Hospice.
Qualified candidates should have at least 2 years of direct policy writing experience as well as experience with customer service. Position duties will include creating and customizing policy and procedure manuals for clients, processing plans of corrections within the established timeframes, taking inbound phone calls, data entry, follow up for policy orientation with clients, updating the manuals when state regulations change, and other duties as assigned. - Preparing and/or editing documents which may be complex and require significant policy research, including researching and ensuring compliance with various federal and state regulations and accrediting standards
- Supporting project management duties, including preparing and presenting written status reports for clients
- Writing and/or editing a variety of policies and procedures
- Creating documents for consumption by a variety of clients in multiple states
- Conduct follow-up, via telephone, email and/or additional meetings to assist in moving policies and procedures forward through the development process.
- Conduct research and review applicable laws, regulations and state licensing standards for individual clients
- Provide technical assistance to clients and company staff, by reviewing documents and existing document templates
2-year college degree, or equivalent experience
