ABOUT Certified Power:

Certified Power Solutions is a leader in the engineering, manufacturing, and distribution of hydraulic systems and controls for the mobile and industrial OEM markets.

Certified Power Solutions specializes in the design, integration, and assembly of fluid power systems, sub-assemblies and components for OEMs across a wide range of markets from heavy truck, agriculture, oil and gas, drilling, aerial and mining to paper packaging, warehousing, recycling, construction, and more. We work closely with you to design and engineer custom systems and sub-assemblies that meet your specific technical application requirements. 

At Certified Power Solutions, we are also snow and ice specialists. We develop turnkey snow and ice removal systems for snowplow trucks designed to fit the needs of your organization or customer.

Leveraging key relationships with the industry’s top manufacturers of valves, custom manifolds, pumps, motors, actuators and more, our knowledgeable and technical sales force works with our engineers to create and design complex engineering solutions. We utilize our manufacturers’ quality parts and components to produce superior designed systems.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide overall responsibility for the day-to-day relationship and relationship management of key strategic supplier partners that make up the majority of the line card for the business. Drive the effective execution of the annual operating plan (Budget) and related coordination between our strategic partners and the business segments of Certified Power. Interface between sales and engineering on matters of products, suppliers and special pricing. Coordinate and manage the special pricing agreements, annual vendor requirements and the various rebate programs across the line card.

Requirements

Major Responsibilities:

Product Line Innovation and Management:

· Develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps for the CPS product lines.

· Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities and market trends.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring new products to market on time and within budget.

· Manage the entire product lifecycle, from concept to launch to end-of-life.

· Stay informed about industry regulations and standards, ensuring product design and manufacturing compliance.

Sales Development and Management:

· Develop and execute growth strategies & find new opportunities.

· Develop sales plans with segment leaders and distribute target accounts and leads from vendor partners

· Create and update sales forecasts and work with the branch operations team to develop an operating budget.

· Work closely with sales and marketing teams to create product messaging and go-to-market strategies.

· Monitor and analyze product performance and make recommendations for improvements.

Vendor Partner Management:

· Develop and implement vendor management strategies to optimize performance and efficiency.

· Build and maintain relationships with key vendors, negotiating contracts and agreements as needed.

· Monitor vendor performance and compliance with contractual terms.

· Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data analysis to track product performance, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions.

· Evaluate vendor capabilities and performance against business objectives.

· Coordinate with internal teams to ensure vendor expectations align with project requirements.

Identify and mitigate vendor-related risks and escalate issues to the leadership team.

Education / Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain management, or a related field

· 5 years of experience in product management or strategic sourcing, specifically in the fluid power industry.

· Technical knowledge of Hydraulic, Pneumatics, and/or Motion Control systems & components.

· Proven track record of successfully launching and managing industrial products.

· Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Proven track record of successfully managing vendor relationships and driving operational excellence.

· Strong negotiation and communication skills.

· Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

· Experience working with cross-functional teams.
