Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman, LLP, a prominent Long Island law firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney for its Real Estate practice group in East Meadow.

Responsibilities:

• Representing (or assisting the supervising attorney with the representation of) purchasers and sellers in the acquisition or sale of residential and commercial real property including drafting and negotiation of contracts, title review, due diligence, and conducting closings
• Drafting and negotiation of leases on behalf of landlords and tenants
• Collaborating on the review and negotiation of loan documents on behalf of a borrower, including, without limitation, title review and due diligence
• Representing (or assisting the supervising attorney with the representation of) applicants in land use and zoning approval process including preparation of applications to various municipalities, due diligence, and attendance at hearings

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution License to practice law in the State of New York
• Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance
•  Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Ability to network and willingness to collaborate
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work with all levels of management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• 0-4 years of related experience
