At CESO, a Senior Environmental Manager is responsible for creating and updating the business plan for the environmental service line and is active in business development. You will have primary responsibilities that include:

• Serve as a supporting technical and manager leader
• Work closely with the Safety Manager on compliance with ISNetworld
• Meet client safety requirements and develop safety environmental protocols
• Communicate complex regulatory constraints related to environmental compliance and conflict resolution
• Create permitting strategies and make design recommendations to streamline the environmental permitting process
• Execute several projects and business development needs simultaneously
• Assist in navigating complex regulatory pathways, including cost, benefit, and risk assessments
• Other duties as assigned

Position requirements include:

• Bachelor's degree required in biology/wildlife ecology/wetland ecology/botany/biogeography/ geology/environmental science/engineering, or similar environmental degree and 15-18 years of relevant work experience in environmental consulting or with a regulatory agency or a master’s degree in biology/geology/environmental sciences
• Oil and Gas Industry experience is preferred
• Extensive experience with state and federal environmental regulations, including stream and wetland permitting, as well as the Endangered Species Act, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Section 106of the National Historic Preservation Act, Section 401/404 of the Clean Water Act, and state water quality standards
• Wetland delineation and permitting experience, including knowledge of wetland delineation protocols required
• GPS handheld device and mapping experience preferred
• Experience with EPA’s Rapid Bioassessment Protocols preferred
• Water sampling experience and familiarity with water chemistry preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with team members, clients, subconsultants, and agencies
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, ArcMap, and internet browsing software
