Overview:

Program Director

(LCSW with Supervisory capabilities)

Insight & Excel Residential Programs

Population: Adolescents

Location: 1000 Atlantic Avenue, Camden NJ (Virtua Facility)

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for implementing the overall planning, operation and management of the program. This position requires a varied scheduled including some day, evening and weekend hours.

Must have:

A Masters degree from an accredited graduate school in social work.
Three years of professional experience serving youth in a residential or inpatient hospital behavioral health treatment program of which at least one year is supervisory.
An active and valid New Jersey license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with supervisory capabilities.

Responsibilities:

? Assume responsibility for youth 24 hours a day, seven days a week, either on-site or on-call. Respond to all calls within 20 minutes.
? Participate with other CFG leaders in planning, implementation and coordination of residential services. This includes administrative issues, inter-departmental issues, strategic planning, staff education, and day to day overall clinical treatment and operations.
? Maintain a working knowledge of major systems that impact the programs operations and performance.
? Responsible for anticipation and identification of problems in the program and interfacing with appropriate individuals to activate solutions in a timely manner.
? Responsible for compliance with all regulatory standards including, but not limited to, the Office of Licensing, the Department of Children and Families, the Office of Contract Administration and the Council on Accreditation.
? Establish program policies and procedures according to regulatory standards and maintain an up-to-date policy and procedure manual.
? Monitor new regulatory requirements or developments published by the State of New Jersey, in order to maintain the programs compliance with all state authorities.
? Directly oversee and supervise the activities of the Physician, the Advance Practice Nurse, the Brookfield Academy Principal, the Program Director II, the BCS Managers, the Lead RN, the Recreation Therapists, the Administrative Assistant and the Quality Assurance Coordinator.
? Oversee and supervise all program staff via supervision of designated directors, managers, and supervisors.
? Make decisions regarding hiring, transfers, promotions, disciplinary actions, and terminations in collaboration with the Executive Director.
? Develop, implement, and maintain employee performance evaluations.
? Approve supply requisitions and capital expenditures as appropriate.
? Prepare and review capital, supply, and personnel budgets for the Executive Directors approval.
? Monitor available financial reports in order to stay well informed about programs financial performance (occupancy, length of stay, budgetary issues, etc.) Monitor the need for and use of supplies, personnel, and services.
? Develop annual and long-range goals and plans in accordance with strategic planning goals.
? Maintain regular reporting schedule with State Contract Manager, in order to remain accountable for program performance, responsibilities, to exchange information, and keep abreast of changes in policies, and receive professional support.
? Monitor relevant literature and/or web sites related to residential care, in order to keep abreast of significant developments, trends etc.
? Ensure continued compliance with licensure and accreditation surveys.
? Conduct regular meetings with all disciplines of the program.
? Attend and participate in various CFG meetings and committees as requested by the Executive Director.
? Ensure documentation of the implementation of a quality assurance program that:
o Monitors the quality and appropriateness of youth care services and staff.
o Monitors the quality and appropriateness of clinical performance.
o Identifies areas for routine monitoring
o Identifies areas for remediation and problem resolution.
o Monitors and reports outcome performance measures.
? Responsible for ensuring that all staff members work schedules and time sheets are maintained.
? Maintain aggregate statistical information on youth and staff members.

Other:
? Familiar with all co-workers job functions so that appropriate internal referrals can be initiated as needed (i.e. nurse, clinician, and principal).
? Takes on special tasks to contribute to the overall functioning of the program (i.e., ordering supplies, shopping, fire drills, pharmacy runs, errands, etc.).
? Drive program vehicles as requested.

Training Requirements Specific to this Position:
? Handle with Care Bi-Annually
? All Training Academy Classes and ongoing training as developed

Qualifications:

21 years of age
