The Position: We are seeking a full-time Bilingual Clinical Therapist for our Balboa site in Northridge to provide comprehensive outpatient treatment services to children, adolescents and their families in the office, community and school based settings. What You'll Do
Conducts intakes, provides individual, group and family therapy services in the public school, office based and community settings. Services include initial clinical assessments, diagnosis, clinical treatment planning and implementation, referral and termination.
Conducts initial assessments of children who have been removed from their home and placed into protective custody by the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS).
Provides services to MAT designated clients in the community, home and locations where the MAT is located.
Completes a draft of the Multidisciplinary Assessment Team Summary of Finding (MAT SOF) prior to the 30-day time line as specified in the MAT Scope of work Procedure Manual, which will require the MAT Coordinators approval before the MAT SOF is released.
Handles crisis situations, including outside of normal work hours.
Follows CFGC and coinciding school district's reporting protocols.
Conducts parent education programs and family support groups.
Maintains clinical charts and completes program paperwork.
Collaborates and consults with school personnel, which includes teachers, counselors and administrators.
Participates in supervision, meetings and trainings related to position and services provided including evidence-based practice trainings, boosters and consultations assigned.
The first four months of this position is fully onsite. Hybrid work options are available afterward.
Fulltime - 40 hours per week. Work schedule is based on the needs of the center and caseload.
Starting Salary:
A.M.F.T., A.C.S.W., and A.P.C.C. $68,500
L.M.F.T., L.C.S.W., and L.P.C.C. $70,500 - $75,500
Waivered Psychologist: $76,500
Licensed Psychologist: $78,500 - $84,500
Additional years of experience will be considered as well
$3,000 differential available for bilingual Spanish-English proficiency (must pass Spanish Proficiency Assessment to qualify)
Qualifications
Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
Experience working with children and adolescents, particularly working with ages 0-5.
Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills.
Knowledge of evidence-based child and family interventions relevant to families served in the community mental health settings.
Ability to develop reasonable, appropriate treatment plans and clinical programs to meet the needs of the clients.
Ability to work in the field, including home visits.
Ph.D., Psy.D., MSW, or MA/MS with an emphasis on marriage and family therapy. Must be eligible to register with the Board of Psychology or Board of Behavioral Sciences.
Licensed Therapist strongly preferred.
