Organizational Impact: Works to achieve day-to-day objectives with limited impact within the area. Work consists of tasks that are typically routine. Works independently under limited supervision. Responsible for assisting and training lower-level support employees. May be responsible for entire projects or processes within area.
Position Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Knowledge & Experience: Requires deep knowledge of trade or discipline. Some job areas may require vocational or technical education in addition to prior work experience. Typically requires a high school diploma and minimum 4 years relevant work experience. Must be able to work independently with good judgement skills.
Essential Functions | Accountabilities | Performance Measures
- Requires industrial maintenance skills to perform and demonstrate abilities to test, diagnose malfunctions then follow through with the repair on production and facility related equipment
- Partner with OEM or contractor technical support as required
- Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment plant wide
- Participate and lead by example in establishing safety policies, standards, practices, and procedures
- Ensure all documentation is filled out and accurate to aid in tracking repairs, equipment histories, and part inventory
- Ability to communicate across levels of the organization
- Repair and maintain, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, parts manuals and manufacturing specifications, using hand tools, power tools and test equipment
Communication & Influence: Communicates with contacts within and outside the department on matters of moderate importance. Explains practices, procedures and policies in order to reach agreement.
Qualifications Required:
- Experience in repairing / troubleshooting metal fabrication equipment
- Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building’s electricity.
- Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building.
- Interpersonal skills to interact with employees of the building in a pleasant manner.
- Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs, or other drainage problems.
Problem Solving & Complexity: Problems and issues faced are unclear and may require understanding of a broader set of issues and may be difficult. Problems typically involve multiple issues, areas or specialties. Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experience and analysis of issues. Has responsibility for making moderate to significant improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of area.

Physical Demands:
- Work is performed indoors or outdoors. This site may not be temperature controlled.
- Are exposed to hazardous equipment on a weekly basis.
- May be exposed to contaminant.
- Wear safety attire and protective gear when going to the plant floor.
- Sit, Talk, or hear, and use hands to finger, handle or touch objects or controls.
- Regularly stand and walk.
- On occasion may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders.
- Occasionally lift up to 50 lb.
- Close vison, distance vision, color vison, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Often exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels when on the plant floor.
