Enterprise Business Architect Position Description CGI is looking for a dynamic Enterprise Business Architect (EA) to define and enable a comprehensive view across the business using technology. The EA brings deep business and industry expertise, is familiar with industry standards, and is able to effectively work and communicate across various different stakeholders including business and senior management. This position is located in our Baltimore, MD office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. Your future duties and responsibilities Understand and evaluate the underlying business goals. Develop and facilitate the development of architectural roadmaps covering business transformation, enterprise technology, applications, and infrastructure. Guide business and other stakeholders in their IT modernization journey Apply innovation and emerging technologies. Analyze, define, design, and propose solutions to business problems using architectural patterns and policies. Deal with a broad range of old and new technologies with the skills to recognize and exploit the advantages of both. Develop plans to migrate from the existing baseline to the target architecture. Understand, implement, and communicate architecture principles, approaches and standards across teams. Work in team-oriented environment, providing architectural technical advice and expertise and guidance to key stakeholders on a broad range of technology architectural related projects. All other duties as assigned or directed. Required qualifications to be successful in this role Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably Computer Science or master's degree with 8 to 13 years' experience. Minimum 10 years of work experience in Information Technology sector Minimum 4 years of work experience in design and architecture Minimum 5 years of work experience in core development using Java based technologies. Strong knowledge of enterprise and solution architecture concepts, values, and methodologies Possess broad range of technical knowledge (e.g. applications, enterprise technology, infrastructure, and telecommunications) and SDLC experience and Agile Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to articulate ideas to technical and business audiences. Knowledge in emerging technology area's such are Generative AI, RPA, Cloud, Data & Analytics, DevOps or others. Experience in Banking applications and architecting enterprise solutions using in-house and third-party systems is desirable. Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required: Experience with Lean / Agile development methodologies. Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience working in a team environment. Hands-on and architectural experience with modern Cloud Native architectures. Delivery (CI/CD) best practices and use of DevOps to accelerate quality releases to Production. Design and build high-quality, scalable, and secure cloud-based solutions on the AWS platform. Experience working in a PaaS/SaaS environments, Agile practices and service-oriented environments. Self-starter, highly motivated individual who adapts and isn't afraid to volunteer in a dynamic work environment. Strong attention to detail with an ability to operate effectively across multiple priorities. Adept at working independently, but also in a team environment. Demonstrated experience delivering technology solutions in a fast-paced, deadline driven enterprise environment. Excellent understanding of change management, testing requirements, techniques, and tools to ensure high availability of systems. Prior Federal government experience CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $96,500.00 - $213,800.00.
