Position Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance and testing, as well as extensive knowledge of business analysis methodologies. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our software solutions by conducting thorough testing and analysis. The ideal candidate also has strong writing and communication skills, ability to learn technical concepts, and is able to build relationships with both their team members and clients.
This position is located in our Lafayette LA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, ensuring alignment with quality standards and objectives.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate system functionality and performance.
• Conduct thorough testing of software solutions, identifying and documenting defects, and working with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Utilize automated testing tooling to implement automated tests.
• Perform root cause analysis of defects and provide recommendations for process improvements.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in quality assurance and testing.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on quality assurance and testing.
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
• Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $68,700.00 - $150,200.00.
