Shipping/Receiving Floor Manager

The Shipping and Receiving Manager is responsible for shipments and deliveries to/from our warehouse as well as any documentation. This position works closely with the Third-Party Logistics (3PL) Manager to coordinate warehouse location and placement shipments received and manage shipments to field sites and incoming shipments.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all shipping and receiving documents
• Maintains accurate control in using proper inventory management practices
• Ensure all activity will be in compliance with the laws and statutes of the various governmental agencies
• Unloads materials and supplies received as needed
• Verify quantities, items, specifications and condition by completing Bill of Loading (BOL) documentation
• Liaison with freight carriers on any shipment received in poor condition or short in quantity – problem resolution and claim filing/returns as necessary
• Confirms drivers sign/date BOLs with shortage/damage notations
• Runs computer copy of receiving documents
• Checks shipments/verify order correctness in using packing slip or purchase order
• Complete all appropriate receiving documents
• Enters all information into the computer
• Reviews on-order status of materials due to be received along with the timing and required delivery date of large shipments
• Communicates with the administrative managers on materials received with vague or unclear descriptions to ensure proper materials are received
• Responsible for completing and submitting daily reports
• Help with inventory control
• Perform cycle counts as needed
• Assist other shipping/receiving employees to problem solve on a daily basis
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

· High School diploma or equivalent

· Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus

· Preferably at least 3 years of experience as a materials manager

· General knowledge and skills of shipping/receiving

· General knowledge is processing warehousing paperwork

· Must be able to manage others in a professional manner

· Ability to work individually as well as a team

· Punctual, committed and hard working

· Knowledge in warehouse safety
