Position Summary:

The Underground Fiber Drill Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of drilling and related equipment used in the fiber optic industry. The Operator is required to work safely in a variety of conditions and have a basic knowledge of drilling systems, equipment, and operations. This includes the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment, as well as the ability to review and interpret drilling logs, data, and reports. The Drill Operator must be able to understand and follow instructions, maintain accurate records, and be able to work independently or as part of a team. This position requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Underground Fiber Drill Operator Duties:

• Operate boring drill equipment to install underground fiber optic cables.

• Perform maintenance and repair on drill rigs and related equipment.

• Monitor drilling operations and adjust accordingly.

• Ensure safety protocols are followed.

• Train and supervise drilling crew. Underground Fiber Drill Operator Skills

• Ability to operate drilling machinery.

• Knowledge of safety regulations.

• Good hand-eye coordination.

• Excellent problem-solving skills.

Underground Fiber Drill Operator Requirements:

• 2-3 years of operational experience with drill equipment.

• Ability to read and comprehend technical documents.

• Ability to use and maintain drilling equipment.

• Ability to work effectively with a team.

• Ability to work in various weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
