Hands on and project learning is a must to engage all types of learners and is an expectation of all CCS staff.

Challenge is seeking team members committed to:
Position specific duties include but are not limited to:
· Assist in providing academic and social-emotional services to allow all learners to access the curriculum and reach high standards.
· Review, update and maintain confidential files, maintain confidentiality and security of documentation.
· Complete and file all required reports with with ADE Special Services
· Maintain good relationships with students, families, supervisors, and peers.
· Assist with IEP’s, MET reports, 504 plans as directed by Special Education Director and Principal
· Arrange and conduct parent & teacher meetings as needed.
· Special prpjects as assigned.
· Conduct small group classes for special education students in compliance with IEP goals and requirements. Conduct small intervention groups for at risk students under the direction of the CCS Special Education Director.
· Confer with regular education teachers regarding implementation of the IEP and meeting the needs of special education students and other special needs students under the direction of the CCS Special Education Director..
· Attend meetings and conferences related to special education issues.
· Conduct small intervention groups for at risk students and additional social skill groups.
· Meet with parents at scheduled conferences and upon reasonable request by parents during the interim to discuss the student's progress or problems.
· Attend all staff meetings, in-service training or other presentations that might be scheduled throughout the contract year. (Even if they are scheduled for a Saturday.
Qualifications for Assistants:
AZ Special Education Para-Professional Certified
Certified Special Education Teachers encouraged to apply.
Other endorsements would be helpful.
