Duration & Type: 6-month Contract with likely extensions up to 2 years

Chamberlain Advisors is currently seeking a Project Manager - TMS Integration/Implementation for our direct client in the healthcare and retail pharmacy industry. This is a 6-month contract-based position with likely extensions. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership skills and will have the ability to lead project teams, as well as, support transformational transportation activities by leading the development, implementation and documentation of the TMS.
What You’ll Be Accountable For
- Participating directly in setting up new reporting capabilities and conducting analysis and leads an analyst to do the same.
- Supporting transformational transportation activities by leading the development, implementation and documentation of new sustainable reporting and analytic processes.
- Participating directly in setting up new reporting capabilities and conducting analysis and leads an analyst to do the same
- Leading development, implementation and documentation of new reporting and analytic process needed to support multiple transportation projects.
- Supporting project managers to collect, report or analyze data required to assess cost savings or performance to objectives established for each project.
- Regularly meets with project managers, members of Transportation, Finance, IT, DC's and others as needed.
- Responsible for project planning, project tracking, scope management, change control management, risk management, and quality assurance of the development project team.
- Developing complex program Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
- Establishing organization-wide project management strategies.
- Ensuring projects are completed according to time and budget schedules, and that objectives conform to division’s overall standards and operations objectives and user requirements.
- Conducting complex program and project management assessments.
- Exhibit strong leadership skills and leads project teams.
- Managing the integration of project management within an organization resulting in culture change.
- Developing project management training classes and programs.
- Identifying new business opportunities.
- Acquiring product and business process knowledge from domain experts and use the information in every aspect of leading analysis, design and implementation efforts.
- Specifying requirements, scope level of effort, assess team member strengths and give work assignments with delivery dates in mind.
- Resoling project conflicts with affected management.
- Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of project management experience.
- Extensive experience developing project plan including charter, scope, project management approach, management plans, financial forecast and schedule.
- Transportation experience, ideally including experience implementing a package including TMS, Domestic and Import Freight, Financials, New Partner Onboarding, and associated integrations.
- Extensive experience in working with cross-functional teams and staff of all levels.
- Strong communication skills.
- Solid problem solving and analysis skills.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Experience with multiple project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, etc.
