Position Overview: Chamberlain Advisors is seeking a seasoned and motivated Warehouse Manager to oversee the warehouse operations for a new flooring company branch in Birmingham. Partnering closely with the Branch Manager, Operations Manager, and Sales, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of flooring products, contributing to the overall success and growth of the branch. This role requires a thorough understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics within the flooring industry. Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Operations:

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of flooring products.
• Implement and maintain inventory management systems to track stock levels, orders, and deliveries.
• Coordinate with suppliers and transportation companies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
• Manage and optimize warehouse space utilization, layout, and workflow to maximize efficiency.

Team Leadership

• Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and employee development.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations, maintaining a safe and secure warehouse environment.

Quality Control

• Implement quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and condition of incoming and outgoing products.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high standards of product quality and inventory accuracy.
• Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to inventory and shipments.

Logistics And Coordination

• Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to coordinate and fulfill project orders.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners to streamline operations.
• Monitor and manage warehouse-related costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse operations and overall efficiency.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, incorporating new technologies and methods as appropriate.
• Contribute to the development and execution of strategic plans to support the branch’s growth and success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably within the flooring or construction industry.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
