About the position:

Chambers Prairie is seeking a licensed veterinary technician to add to our dedicated surgical team. Our surgical team offers a wide range of surgical procedures, including but not limited to spays/neuters, planned & emergent c-sections, soft tissue procedures, and orthopedic procedures (with a traveling specialist). Our ideal LVT would be someone who is comfortable leading the anesthesia and monitoring of surgical patients and excited to see a variety of cases/patients!

Our veterinary technicians should be ready to:

• Lead an amazing surgical team in anesthesia and monitoring.
• Induce, intubate, and place IV catheters on surgical patients.
• Calculate and draw up medication.
• Provide anesthetic care to occasional exotics, such as rabbits, llamas, goats, and more!
• Provide routine maintenance on anesthetic machines.
• Occasionally partake in a cat rodeo.
• Ask for help and offer help to others.
• Be empathetic to our clients, coworkers, and yourself.
• Grow as a professional and encourage the growth of others.
• Be a part of monthly meetings to encourage open communication and collaboration.
• Practice low-stress handling techniques to keep our patients safe and happy.
• maintain a positive, supportive approach at all times, recognizing that remarkable results are achieved through teamwork and mutual respect.
• Possess the confidence to own tasks and responsibilities to deliver positive outcomes.
• Anticipate the needs of DVM staff, promoting efficiency and teamwork.

The salary range for this position is $25-$28/hr. Compensation is negotiable based on credentials and experience. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience.
