Your Mission: Responsible for all phases of planning and scheduling of activities, routines and repetitive tasks for the Maintenance department in accordance with state and federal regulations, company policies and procedures, including policies related to food safety and quality. Purchases parts, supplies and any services required to keep the facility and equipment operating properly. What You'll Do: Complete all required AIB food safety and quality modules on an annual basis or within one year from start date. Adheres to all company safety and quality standards and procedures identified in the areas covering GMP’s HACCP, FDA, OSHA, AIB and BRC. Participate in weekly plant inspections and audits, Investigate and issue corrective actions for any food safety, quality, or process deviation as outlined in the BRC manual. Plans and schedules work orders, preventative maintenance, routines or other work required to maintain the plant and or equipment. Assigns work tasks from a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Schedules outside contractors for annual inspections, calibrations, verifications as needed to keep equipment in compliance with programs or regulating agencies. Plan and coordinate with all departments on projects and other planned work orders to ensure maximum production efficiencies. Meet regularly with maintenance supervision for task planning, scheduling and open times. Responsible for purchasing, receiving and properly inventorying parts and supplies for maintenance. Provide support and information through leadership and strategic planning to ensure efficient use of labor and materials. Maintain a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) with updated and useful information. Assist and understand departmental budget including equipment, parts, labor, training and supplies. Assists in planning and organizing work and/or projects; assigns and checks work of and/or assists and instructs others. Leading does not involve the level of authority found in a supervisory position. Makes moderate use of independent action to determine choices based on the integration of diverse and indirectly related practices and procedures. Makes recommendations in the budget process. Administers actions and/or has the responsibility for authorizations that have a direct impact on budgeted costs subject to VP approval. Coordinates the research, analysis and interpretation of data to refine and improve on established practices. Requires intermittent use of independent thought in refining new solutions to complex loosely defined problems. Responsible for communicating and monitoring compliance with existing practices. Requires frequent contact with customers or vendors requiring provision of services, explanations, decisions or the obtaining of routine approvals. Requires frequent contact within own department on routine matters and/or intermittent contact with employees in other departments to obtain and supply information. Frequent visual/auditory attention or intermittent standing, lifting or moving of average weight material. Intermittent involvement in discussions requiring the reconciliation of adverse points of view. What You'll Bring: Greater than four years, up to seven years experience in specific and/or related areas. Requires specialized skills and/or certification in a particular field such as normally acquired through continuing education in drafting, refrigeration, business administration, data processing, etc. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft office programs (Word, Excel, etc…) for reports and charts. At least 4 years working experience of industrial machine repair or advanced education in electrical, mechanical or electronics engineering. Must be able to learn and utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management Software system (CMMS). Must be able to understand machine prints and parts identification documents for proper ordering of equipment parts and supplies. Must be able to communicate with outside suppliers of parts and services to ensure efficient pricing and availability. Ability to see clearly at from range of 20 inches or less to 20 feet or more. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Where You'll Work: Intermittent exposure to other elements. One element may be continuously present. Job requirements or actions include exposure to a condition, where there is limited likelihood that person may be injured, or property may be damaged. Under 30% of time spent exposed to: wet or humid conditions (non-weather); working near moving mechanical parts; outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold (non-weather); extreme heat (non-weather); risk of electrical shock. Under 30% of time spent: standing; using hands to finger, handle or feel; reaching with hands and arms; climbing or balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling; lifting up to 50 lbs; walking; sitting; talking or hearing. 30% to 65% of time spent: walking; sitting; talking or hearing; lifting 10-50 lbs.
