Description
Summary/Objective:
The Aggregate Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for the daily coordination and deliveries of aggregate with a focus on providing superior customer service and timely deliveries to our customers.
Essential Functions:
  1. Oversee the management, training, and development of regional dispatch personnel.
  2. Analyze aggregate dispatch workflow and adjust accordingly with a focus on process improvement.
  3. Review customer orders in dispatch system and ensure information is entered accurately to avoid erroneous deliveries and errors.
  4. Educate customers and dispatchers on products and make recommendations. Provide customers with the company website for valuable customer tools and resources.
  5. Verify and approve all necessary information for credit card charges through Slim CD.
  6. Interact daily with CSC personnel, customers, ADP's, Independent haulers, and plant personnel to ensure efficient and effective deliveries.
  7. Monitor daily KPI dashboards.
  8. Monitor all delivered jobs internal and External for accurate delivery amounts & Trucking efficiencies.
  9. Monitor all trucks on tracking systems for driver efficiencies and coordinate with trucking supervisors as needed.
  10. Ensure trucking needs are being met for volume of orders scheduled.
  11. Troubleshoot customer complaints and provide an appropriate resolution to the problem. Document and if necessary, elevate to Manager and/or other appropriate manager (Sales, Operations, Safety) for resolution and follow-up.
  12. Promptly notify Safety, Operations Manager and/or other appropriate personnel of any accidents, material spills, or job site safety issues which may arise.
  13. Monitor truck activity to maintain timely schedules and delivery of orders. Develop schedules for next assignments so that trucks are dispatched based on availability.
Non-Essential Functions:
  1. Maintain customer relations with all customers.
  2. Perform miscellaneous administrative functions as required.
  3. Assist Customer Service Representatives as needed.
Qualifications
Work Environment:
  • Work time will be indoors/office.
  • Noise level will be moderate.
Physical Demands:
  • Sit approximately 8 hours per day.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
  • 2 Previous experience in a logistics or dispatch environment preferred.
Special Skills:
  • Written communication, verbal communication, and basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to use a computer including Microsoft Office, Dispatch system.
  • Data entry skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
  • Able to read maps and provide written and verbal directions. Familiar with on-line tools for maps and directions.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.

  • Background in Concrete, Sand and Gravel or Transportation (preferred).
