ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Summary/Objective:

The Account Payable Manager performs general accounting duties and oversees the daily activities of the Accounts Payable Team. This individual would report through the Finance and Accounting Leadership and work very closely with partners across the Accounting, Financial Reporting & Credit teams. We are seeking someone who is self-motivated, detail oriented and ready to join a growing business. This position is perfect for someone ready to take the next step in their career while being focused on accounting and managing a team.

Essential Functions:

  • Supervise the Accounts Payable team activity and assist with the reconciliation to the general ledger.
  • Handle customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner to provide an informed response. Manage top internal accounts as it relates to Accounts Payable.
  • Work closely with the accounting team to close out month end financials and year end financials.
  • Ownership in certain areas around the implementation of NetSuite.
  • Implement and document processes for the Accounts Payable Team.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other reporting.
  • Ability to analyze information and determine opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage the Accounts Payable Team. Providing guidance and development for those individuals across the team.
  • Perform general accounting duties as needed or assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Work Environment:

  • Work time will be indoors/office.
  • Noise level will be low.

Physical Demands:

  • Sit approximately 7 hours per day and walk or stand the other 1 hour per day.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

  • Experience in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates leadership potential and the ability to work effectively with large teams.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accurate information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP (Specifically NetSuite or Great Plains).
  • 2 Years of Accounting or Finance experience.
  • Management or Team Lead experience.

Special Skills:

  • Written communication, verbal communication, and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Understanding of basic account including GAAP

Education Required: High School Diploma

Preferred Education: BA/BS or Graduate Degree in Accounting/Finance

Bilingual in Spanish Preferred: No

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental Pay:

  • Yearly bonus
