Job Summary:

The Field Technician will provide technical support for desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and other devices to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC) staff. This role requires travel to various AGFC field offices, and you will be the primary point of contact for technical support in those locations.

Travel Requirements:

• Day travel only; no overnight stays.
• You must use your own vehicle for travel, with required insurance.
• Travel is usually needed 2 days a week, depending on client demand.
• The distance to agency offices varies, with the farthest being 150-190 miles away and many within 50 miles.
• Mileage is reimbursed at $0.52 per mile for approved work travel

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet with customers to understand and document their needs for new processes or to update existing systems.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain PC hardware and desktop software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Anti-Virus).
• Provide advanced technical support and leadership on escalated issues.
• Support and maintain all customer software, systems, servers, and workstations.
• Assist with Microsoft operating systems (e.g., Office 365, Google Apps for Government).
• Manage users, groups, and computers in a Microsoft Active Directory environment.
• Perform system maintenance by resolving errors and addressing system problems.
• Assist users with setting up and using mobile devices (e.g., iPads, iPhones, Windows tablets).
• Learn and provide support for MAC systems.

Requirements:

• Experience in Following:(Required 3 Years)
• Field technician support
• Desktop and laptop support
• Support for handheld devices (e.g., tablets, smartphones)
• Networking
• Software and peripheral device support
• Telephone support
• CAT5 cable installation
• CompTIA Certification (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance.
• A reliable vehicle for daily travel to work locations.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $27.93 per hour
