Changing Worlds is seeking one (1) individual for a social media marketing internship. This position will be responsible for strategy, media creation, scheduling, and evaluation of all Changing Worlds social media including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Internship dates are flexible. This position will report to the Senior Director of Development and Communications.

**This position is unpaid and temporary, it is designed as an internship.**

Responsibilities:

· Work to create a social media calendar that includes event coverage that aligns with programming and fundraising calendar and meets the needs of each platform’s demographics

· Post social media content on the following 3 platforms: Facebook and Instagram and LinkedIn

· Monitor traffic to the various social media platforms to drive engagement from audience

· Schedule content on all holidays and special events through Meta Planner and LinkedIn

· Assist team in getting photo and video content to be used on social media and help with video editing as necessary

· Interact with community for engagement including comments, stories, and messages

Qualifications:

· Experience and knowledge with Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram

· Proficiency in copywriting and editing

· Knowledge and experience in Canva

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Strong organizational and time management skills

· Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

· Proficient in capturing video content and editing videos/photos for social media platforms

This position will be primarily remote but will require occasional travel to various Chicago Public Schools and community programming sites. Ability to attend Monday Morning all team meeting once a month.
