Seeking experienced Engineer with extensive hands-on skills in implementing electrical and automation projects. Position will include developing and managing capital expense projects (CAPEX) from inception to completion. The candidate will support process optimization efforts throughout the facility. Ideal candidate should have hands-on experience troubleshooting technical issues related to industrial and manufacturing equipment. This position requires a strong understanding of safety policies and standards that are applicable for industrial operations. The Engineer will be leading and participating in many team orientated work groups.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Ø Provide technical coordination and support in the operating and capital expense management processes by initiating and running projects using the capital expense (CAPEX) project, equipment monitoring, stabilization, and improvements.
Ø Responsible for detailed engineering work in the areas of instrumentation, PLC, power distribution, and equipment integration which includes electrical design, power distribution design, and automation system design.
Ø Provide Technical Support for Operations working closely with leaders on Operational Improvements.
Ø Trouble Shooting of Existing Equipment and Processes.
Ø Develop and refine engineering procedures.
Ø Process sample and data collection and interpretation.
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
v Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
v 3-8 Years of Industrial, Hands-On Experience planning and installing electrical equipment and automation controls.
v ISA Certified Automation Professional Certification (Preferred)
v Demonstrated project management experience which includes planning, budgeting, design, execution, scheduling, procurement, installation and startup of electrical controls equipment and instrumentation.
v Experience in troubleshooting and optimizing the performance of electrical control systems on production machines and equipment.
v Knowledgeable in Industrial Safety and Construction Methods.
v Demonstrated advanced skills in all Microsoft software such as Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. and advanced drawing skills with Auto-Cad.
v Knowledge of equipment, machine design standards and specifications and machine safety design, including ANSI, ASTM, FM, NFPA, and IEC.
v Knowledge of NFPA-70 and NFPA-70E.
v Knowledge of database systems for process control applications.
v Installation and strong programming capability with Rockwell Automation PLC systems.
v Working knowledge of automation communication systems.
v Installation set up and troubleshooting abilities with AC and DC drives and motors.
