PURPOSE
The role of the Children’s Ministry Coordinator is to multiply transformed followers of Jesus by ministering to children from birth through 5th grade and their families of Chapel Pointe in the context of high relational collaboration and accountability. This role requires a firm grasp of Chapel Pointe's beliefs, values, and strategy and the ability to align volunteers and key leadership teams with its vision. This person functions primarily in a supportive role and must be able to assist in implementing a high-quality children’s ministry program. They must be a team player and have the ability to recruit, train, inspire, lead, and equip volunteers of all ages. Additionally, they must be aligned with Chapel Pointe’s values and beliefs.

Job Responsibilities
- Support the strategy and implementation of children’s ministry (Birth through 5th grade) at Chapel Pointe Hudsonville by completing various tasks in an assigned area of ministry.
- Support team leads at each site in resourcing, coaching, and challenging volunteers to equip children to have an authentic relationship with Jesus in a safe, relational, and exciting environment.
- Find ways to connect with parents to the spiritual growth of their children and foster their enthusiastic support of the ministry.
- Constantly recruiting, screening, scheduling, and leading teams (including, but not limited to, teachers, leaders, assistants, and worship leaders) of children's ministry team members.
- Collaborate with team leads in creating safe and secure environments that foster learning and pull through lessons and the children's ministry Playbook.
- Collaborate with the other ministry areas of Chapel Pointe.
- Be an engaged, positive, and collaborative part of the Chapel Pointe team.

Qualifications
- 1-4 years of relevant ministry/work experience preferred
