Chapman Hyundai Scottsdale is looking for Apprentice Automotive Technicians to join our team! As an Apprentice Technician, you will receive mentorship and support from our factory-trained technicians and management team while you build upon your current automotive knowledge and skills. Core Responsibilities: 

• Work alongside a senior technician to learn to diagnose, maintain and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Perform safety inspections and basic maintenance services including oil changes, fluid exchanges, tire rotations, etc.
• Perform work specified on the repair order under the supervision of an experienced technician
• Inform the Service Advisor of additional repairs needed, providing an estimate of time needed to complete them

Desired Qualifications and Experience: 

• Automotive schooling or 6 months of entry-level technician experience at an independent shop or dealership required
• ASE and/or factory certifications are a plus!
• Good communication skills
• A strong desire to learn and develop mechanical proficiencies
• A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Hours and Work Environment

Our Service Department is open Monday – Friday from 7AM to 6PM and Saturday from 7AM to 5PM. We ask that all applicants have the availability to work any of the days and times listed above. Our technicians enjoy a state-of-the-art, climate controlled shop.
