A Memphis, Tennessee bankruptcy trustee administering approximately 4,800 cases is looking for the right individual to join the management team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Creating and monitoring annual budget and overseeing the Trusteeship’s financial functions.

· Provide the Trustee and United States Trustee with timely and accurate monthly and annual analysis of budgets and financial reports.

· Overseeing the handling of bank relationships and responsible for maintaining all Trustee bank accounts.

· Responsible for overseeing, maintaining and reconciling of Trusteeship daily receipts and disbursements.

· Perform internal audits to ensure the proper flow of Trustee funds.

· Responsible for overseeing maintaining and reconciling the accounts payable and accounts receivable for the Trusteeship’s operations.

· Responsible for administering the Trusteeship’s 401(k) and liability insurance. File compliance reports related to 401(k) required by IRS annually.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of five-years of similar experience OR Five to ten years of experience in booking/accounting.

· Accounting proficiency in cash-based accounting system.

· Able to understand and explain complex financial data.

· Able to trouble-shoot and comprehend accounting and payroll software.

· Proficient knowledge of Word and Excel and the manipulation of spreadsheets.

· Able to work independently and exercise sound business judgment.

· Able to read, write and comprehend instructions, discussion, correspondence and memos in English.

· Be able to pass a civil and criminal background check and credit check.

· Be free of prejudice against any individual, entity, or group of individuals or entities which would interfere with unbiased performance of a Trustee’s duties.

· Must not be related by affinity or consanguinity within the degree of first cousins to any Bankruptcy or District Court Judge, any employee of the Office of the United States Trustee, Office of the Clerk of the United States Bankruptcy Court, or Office of Jennifer K. Cruseturner, Chapter 13 Trustee.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
