Charah Solutions Inc. is Hiring an Electrical Maintenance Technician Near North Bend, OH
- Perform preventive maintenance work orders on plant electrical and mechanical equipment as schedule requires
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in a timely manner to keep the plant on schedule. This could include replacing bearings, adjusting equipment, part replacement and repair of damage
- Monitor all production equipment for operational performance. Work with plant management to improve performance
- Resolve all electrical and PLC controls problems in a timely manner to keep the plant on schedule. This could include replacing motors, sensors, PLC programing and controls monitoring
- Learn, follow, and promote all safety regulations of Charah and its customers
- Keep the assigned area organized and clean
- Work occasional weekend, holiday, and/or overtime
- Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management
- Valid driver’s license required
- A minimum of five years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment as a mechanic/electrician required
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical millwright procedures preferred
- Knowledge of PLC’s, process controls, latter logic and Wonder Ware software preferred
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, welding and plumbing procedures preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical school or trade school in mechanical and electrical areas preferred
- Working knowledge of materials, methods, and procedures involved in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance preferred
- This position requires a flexible work schedule: nights, weekends, holidays, and/or overtime
- Must be able to climb, maintain body equilibrium, reach, grasp, bend and walk/stand/sit for extended periods of time
- Must be able to display eye to hand coordination; depth perception required.
- Must be able to manipulate small parts with hands.
- Must be able to hear and see naturally or with correction
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
- Be subject to loud noises
- Be subject to atmospheric conditions - one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odor, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation
- This position requires working in the internal and external environment
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Ability to work under pressure with time constraints in a changing environment
- Ability to effectively communicate
