Adult Support Half Day/Interventionist Half Day 

Description: 

• During the first half of the day support will be given to a Preschool age special education student 
  • Providing personal services to a special needs student as well as working with general education students in the classroom. 
  • Provide modified classroom activities under teacher direction 
  • Supervise and support appropriate use of school tools 
  • Provide visual cues and schedules, repeat directions, visual prompts to support learner 
• During the second half of the day this position will provide interventional support ? Academic tutoring of students individually or in small groups 
  • Assist professional staff as directed 
  • Collect and share data with gen ed teachers 
  • Classroom coverage oat an “as needed” basis 

Qualifications and requirements:

• High school diploma 
• 2-years college preferred 
• Background Check required 
• Strong interpersonal skills 
• Personable demeanor 
• Ability to work cooperatively with parents, staff, and administration 
• Ability to maintain respect and confidentiality 
• Be self-motivated 
• Demonstrates strong verbal communication skills 
• Demonstrates strong written communication skills 

Preferences: 

• Preferred experience with special needs students 
• Preferred lower elementary (K-2) classroom experience 
• Understanding of Individual education Plans (IEP) 
• Educational Certifications 

Job Length: 

School Year 2024-2025 – 6.5 hours per day

Rate of Pay:

 $16.72 Per Hour
