About the RoleAs a Staff Platform Engineer on Charlie Health's Platform team, you will join a team dedicated to creating Charlie Health's platform. You will help set the tone and priorities of the program responsible for delivering Charlie Health's application services. We are looking for someone who is inspired by our mission and excited by the opportunity to build a business that will impact millions of lives in a profound way. Responsibilities
Design and implement authentication and authorization solutions.
Create architectural patterns that enable growth.
Establish and maintain container orchestration strategy.
Establish build strategy creating artifacts and container images.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5 years experience as a platform engineer working on distributed systems
Expertise developing event-driven architecture
Experience deploying infrastructure as code within a production environment
Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs
Outstanding debugging, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
Experience writing effective unit and integration tests
Familiarity and knowledge of SQL and relational databases
Familiarity with a cloud ecosystem such as AWS, GCP, or Azure (AWS preferred)
Ability to make important technical tradeoff decisions with cross team implications
Please note: candidates located within 75 minutes' commuting distance of our NYC office are expected to come to office 4 days/week
